Summary: The room we were initially assigned had a view of the tiled roof of the entrance to the hotel and nothing else. There was a balcony but effectively useless. Other than the view, the room was nice. After discussing the situation with several staff members, one finally did a full search and was able to have us moved to a room with a view of the gulf, with no upgrade charge. This room was excellent - good lighting, clean, plenty of outlets, big TV, refrigerator. The only relatively minor negative would be that the A/C unit was pretty noisy (very functional for cooling). The facility was crowded for the first few days of our stay but emptied out after two meetings finished and the speed boat racing visitors left (this group also had been given a section of the parking lot for their equipment). They now have a food truck parked behind the beverage hut by the pool. The food was very tasty and a good quantity. The biggest disappointment was the construction begun halfway through our stay that eliminated access to their fitness facility (which was nice when available). We will likely return, as we have numerous times over the years.
