Come and enjoy the serenity of Deer Laurel Cabin, located on a secluded wooded lot yet close to Boone, West Jefferson, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This 3- bedroom, 2.5 bath home is beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings, including a Sleep Number mattress in the Master Bedroom. A fully stocked kitchen includes new appliances with a gas stove, dishwasher and a large dining table. Bed linens, towels & toiletries are provided, along with high-speed Wi-Fi, YouTube TV, 3 Smart TVs, Washer/Dryer, gas fireplace, and parking for 4 vehicles.
The large family room includes a DVD player and gaming table with a variety of games and puzzles available, so send the kids downstairs while the adults relax on the main floor. Enjoy the covered porch or have dinner on the deck while listening to the tranquil stream. You'll be sure to see a deer or two during your stay!
We pride ourselves on providing an exceptionally clean space for our guests so please respect our House Rules (and future guests) by helping us to maintain this clean space. Be aware that we do allow dogs, so if you have allergies to pets, there are several other rentals in the area that will be happy to accommodate you.
There is a pool table located in the loft.
Guests will enjoy our beautiful and spacious 2400 sq ft cabin all to themselves, with the master suite on the main level. On the lower level, you will find a large family room with leather sectional sofa, 2 additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom, laundry room, and a games table! There is also a sleeper sofa in the lower level.
Although the house is in an open wooded area, much of the property surrounding the cabin is private property. We ask that you take a moment to look at the property map in the guest book, and respect the property of the neighbors.
PLEASE NOTE: The drive to our cabin takes you across unpaved (gravel) roads which are well maintained. 2-wheel drive vehicles must use the driveway on the left at the bottom of the hill. Only 4-wheel drive or all-wheel vehicles can make it up the drive on the right side in order to park at the top of the hill. There are 2 parking spots to the left of the house for 2-wheel drive vehicles and 2 parking spots to the right of the house for 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles. Some people have found the parking at the top of the driveway a bit challenging as you may have to do a 3, 4, or 5 point turn to get into them depending on the size of your vehicle.
Guests will receive a Welcome Packet from the owners prior to arrival that will include everything else you'll need to know before you arrive at our cabin!
We allow up to 2 dogs for a $75 fee. If you are bringing more than 2 dogs please let us know PRIOR to booking. You must select the number of dogs you are bringing when booking the cabin.
