Mitchell is the perfect place for you and your family or friends to enjoy the mountain air near so many of the great hikes of Western North Carolina. Just minutes from the Blue ridge parkway and less than a 1/4 mile walk to the great South Toe River, come enjoy this peaceful getaway. 45 minutes north of Asheville and 20 minutes to both downtown Spruce Pine, Burnsville, and Little Switzerland, we are happy to share this gem with you.
Mt.Mitchell is less than 20 minutes from the cabin and incredible hikes are close by for the avid adventurer.
The cabin is located less than 1/4 mile from the South Toe River for tubing or fishing for stocked trout. Just down the road is the South Toe campground with access to Patient's Park pool ($5/family) and a small ice cream shop and general store.
Or, enjoy the serenity of the South Toe with clear waters and beautiful boulders just down the private drive.
20 minutes to cafes, restaurants, and shopping in Spruce Pine, Burnsville, and Little Switzerland. A short ride to Mt. Mitchell golf course and only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway for the perfect autumnal drive.
This is our family cabin and we have been careful to uphold the integrity of the space while honoring it's timelessness. We do want to respect our wonderful neighbors(both wildlife and human) and ask that noise be kept to a minimum.
