We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy guidebook in the house full of dining options, things to do, shopping, hiking and waterfall trails... Wineries! with live music events and tastings are in abundance! And just a short 25 mile drive to the Bavarian themed town of Helen for tubing, zip lining, or the sights and sounds of of Bavaria!
There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, standup paddle boards, kayaks.
Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks the lake below and provides picturesque mountain views. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing.
