Welcome to Blue Eagle Lodge!

The Blue Eagle Lodge is an expansive 4BR/4BA home with four levels on Beech Mountain close to the Ski Resort! During the winter ski season, enjoy Snow Skiing, Snowboarding, Snow Tubing, and Ice Skating, all at Beech Mountain Ski Resort, only 2 miles away. The Village, about 3 miles distant, offers numerous restaurants and shopping options and other activities such as putt-putt, sledding, hiking, mountain biking, frisbee golf, and much more. The Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center is also 2 miles away and offers lake activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and lakeside picnic areas. The Recreation Center has outdoor and indoor sports and fitness activities with options such as soccer and baseball fields, a climbing frame and playground, and a running/walking track. Indoor activities include volleyball, tennis, basketball, Nautilus equipment, free weights, facilitated fitness classes, and more. A small daily access fee is all you need to take advantage of the Buckeye Rec Center.

Downtown Banner Elk is only about 6 miles away at the foot of Beech Mountain. The Banner Elk Winery, the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and the Sugar Mountain Public Golf Club are less than 10 miles distant. Grandfather Mountain and its popular Profile hiking trails are less than 15 miles. Watauga Lake is also about 15 miles. Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines park is less than 18 miles. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are both approximately 25 miles away, along with Appalachian State University, the indoor Swim complex, Boone Golf Club, Tweetsie Railroad, and Appalachian Ski Mountain.

Totaling four levels, Blue Eagle Lodge has four bedroom suites, each with a full ensuite bathroom. The home has an open Living, Dining, Kitchen area, a fun "indoor/outdoor" Den with a bar/kitchenette, and a huge customized glass door to the side patio and the outdoors. A Theater room, a Game room with a pool table, numerous outdoor decks, a hot tub, covered decks, walkways, open-air patios, and a fun lower backyard safe for children and pets make this home a memorable vacation destination.

Working from the top level down, here is the layout for the Blue Eagle Lodge:

The Top Level - The "main level" features an open floor plan with vaulted tongue-in-groove ceilings and exposed beams. The primary Kitchen, recently renovated, has new granite countertops, new high-end stainless appliances, plenty of cabinet space for storage, and countertop space to prepare snacks and meals for large groups. There are 5 bar stool seats at the kitchen peninsula bar top. Adjacent to that is the open dining area with a custom-crafted banquet-style dining table that seats 13 guests. With the five adjacent bar stool seats, Blue Eagle can accommodate up to 18 people in the main dining area. The Living Room features a stone gas log fireplace, a large HD Smart TV, and comfy leather seating for a larger group to gather. The open-air rear deck offers a gas grill, outdoor dining table, Adirondack-style seating, and seasonal winter mountain views. Wall-to-wall oversized windows and glass doors allow sunlight to flood into the main Living and Dining areas and the Kitchen. Finishing out this level is a King bedroom suite with an HD Smart TV and a full ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combo.

The Second Level - One down from the Top Level offers two bedroom suites, each with an HD Smart TV and a full ensuite bathroom. The primary master bedroom suite boasts a comfy King bed, a sitting area, a walk-in closet, and a private covered deck. The ensuite master bathroom has a large jetted soaking tub in front of a view window, a spa-like shower with tile and frameless glass, and a long granite vanity countertop with "his & hers" double sinks. On this level, the second bedroom suite features a large bedroom with a King bed and a Queen-over-Queen bunk bed. Its ensuite bathroom offers a tub and shower combo.

The Third Level - One floor below the "master suite" level, this level has been reinvented and renovated to create a much better setup with more value and use for vacationing guests. On this level, the King bedroom suite has a gas log fireplace, an HD Smart TV, and a convertible sleeper chair that offers a single flexible sleeping option. Customized track-style reclaimed doors offer privacy control. There is a "Jack & Jill" full bathroom that is brand new as of late 2021. This bathroom is accessed directly from the bedroom on one end and the indoor/outdoor Den on the other end and features a large shower with frameless glass. Finally, the large Den, converted from an oversized two-car garage, offers tons of space to spread out toys and games for children and teens, a customized bar with an under-mount sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and more. Comfy furniture focusing on "indoor/outdoor" durability furnishes the new Den and a customized roll-up garage-style door made entirely of glass panels. This room also has a full-size futon for extra sleeping options. Roll up this door and enjoy the Den and Patio space together. The Den and patio were thoughtfully designed to use separately and together. The patio features a wood-burning chiminea-style fire feature, numerous Adirondack-style rocking armchairs, and the new Hot Tub (added in 2022). Also, there is an air hockey and foosball table to see who will be crowned champion during your stay!. Exterior steps lead down to the backyard, and a walkway to the free-standing deck nestled down in the backyard. It also features a wood-burning outdoor chiminea fireplace, as well as bench-style seating.
The Fourth Level - The "bottom level" is essentially split in half, offering two large rooms with a "step-up and step-down" open threshold between the two sides. On one side, we have a Theater room with a total of 9 reclining leather theater-style armchairs, a giant HD Smart Screen, and room for possibly more guests to pile in and enjoy a good movie! On the other side, we have a "speakeasy-style" game room with an 8-foot slate pool table.

The Blue Eagle Lodge offers complete climate control in all four suites, with individually controlled thermostats that provide heat and air conditioning. The upper-level living/dining/kitchen area also has separate thermostat control. All 6 of the HDTVs are Smart TVs with the capability to provide access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and many other platforms that guests can use as long as they have appropriate subscriptions. Otherwise, digital cable programming and high-speed WiFi internet are available on all TVs. There is a laundry area with a washer and dryer. Pets are allowed, dogs only, one per reservation, with a 50-pound weight limit.

Beech Mountain Club

Guests with a reservation at Blue Eagle Lodge are eligible to apply for a membership transfer to the Beech Mountain Club (BMC) for the dates of the reservation.

BMC policies apply to a membership transfer. Please read the policy document carefully.
Upon booking, guests will receive an email with instructions, the BMC transfer policies, and the transfer application. The application must be submitted to the club by the guest at least 3 days prior to the transfer start date, which can be no sooner than your arrival date.
Please note BMC Policy 4a. : owners membership is limited to two transfers per month based on a first come first serve basis. It is recommended to submit your application as soon as possible. CCR is unable to inform inquiring guests if two transfers are already accepted in a calendar month. Guests will need to contact BMC for information.
A membership transfer fee starting at $300 is charged to the guest by BMC upon the start date of the membership transfer.
Memberships start at the social level. Guests may upgrade membership with additional fees paid to BMC (see the BMC website for what is included with each level).
Transfers are administered by BMC, which has no affiliation with Carolina Cabin Rentals.
