GENERAL INFORMATION;
***We have negotiated a special discount for all people in your group with Nacoochee Adventures and Ziplining only for our guests. That applies to all their adventures and for snacks and alcohol. You will be given a special code when you book with us.
***We also have an incredible Trip Planner Document that is given to each guest that contains awesome tips on everything from; where to eat and drink to wineries and waterfalls and everything in between. Most guests find that document to be invaluable for discovering things they would not have experienced with it.
***We have two other rentals in Clayton and three more in Helen so if this property is booked for your dates, we may have other options for you - just ask.

LOCATION;
We named our home after our 3 year old toddler named Cappy since he loved coming here so much (see photos). We are located less than a mile to downtown Clayton so you can walk into town if you like - we always drive since it is free parking everywhere and there is no sidewalk for part of the walk. Our property is in a very safe and quiet residential neighborhood providing the perfect mix of being just outside of downtown Clayton so you are close to all the action, but also not directly in the downtown area so you can enjoy the wooded private feel, fall foliage and nature. You can see deer, foxes, hedgehogs and the occasional black bear. Clayton has activities for everyone such as; many restaurants and bars, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, antique shopping, art galleries, river tubing and rafting, golfing, hiking, parks, wineries and tons of waterfalls. There is something for everyone. While Clayton has a ton to do locally, we are also convenient to many other very fun North Georgia attractions. We are about 15 minutes to Lake Burton (Anchorage Marina side) where you can rent pontoons boats, 60 minutes to Ski Sapphire Valley, 15 minutes to Tallulah Gorge State Park and about 35 minutes to the resort town of Alpine Helen. Overall our property is in a great location to explore everything in the north Georgia mountains.
HOUSE OVERVIEW;
The 1850 square foot air conditioned and heated home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms all conveniently located on one level. We have excellent Wi-Fi if you need to work from the house on your laptop or phone. The property is roughly one acre in size and is private and wooded. In the winter you have seasonal mountain views in the distance with less leaves and in the summer you have total privacy from neighbors when the trees have leaves. The house is roughly 50% windows so you have lovely outside views from just about every room especially the great room with a floor to ceiling glass wall - see photos. The floor plan is open and flows around the kitchen and living room with a fire place in the center. There are beautiful floors and gorgeous soaring 18 foot open beam wood ceilings in the middle of the house. The house is nicely equipped with furniture and decor. We have lots of photos with very detailed listing descriptions to help you learn more about our house and the surrounding areas.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS;
There are 3 bed rooms and all are good size. The master has a king bed and large very nice en-suite bathroom. The master has a slider leading to the exterior deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a slider leading to the deck also. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds and windows, but no slider. There is a work desk, chair and lamp in the 3rd bedroom which can be used as a dedicated workspace. All bedrooms have night stands, dressers and good closet space. The full bathroom for the 2 guest bedrooms is in the hallway close to the other 2 bedrooms.
KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM;
The kitchen is large and open concept with wrap around granite counter tops and very high open ceilings. There is small kitchen nook table for 4 people. The space is all windows and very bright and welcoming. Like all of our homes we rent, the kitchen is extremely well stocked with not just the basics, but with probably more than you have at your own kitchen as that is the case for us! There is every conceivable gadget for cooking extensive meals. There is a separate formal dining room with a large table and chairs for 6 people. Off the dining room is the living room / great room with couches and lounge chairs and a beautiful flat screen 65" smart TV on the mantle. The living room is literally all windows and has soaring ceilings like the kitchen. There is a huge brick fireplace center piece separating the kitchen and living room and the space is open in a circle around the fireplace. We have decorated the fireplace area, but note it is not functional for fires as the gas is not hooked up. The kitchen, dining room and living room are a wonderful combined space so the family can be all together.
WASHER / DRYER;
Full size washer and dryer off the kitchen next to the breakfast nook. Free to use - just supply your own detergent.
DECK SPACE, HOT TUB, FIRE PIT AND PARKING;
There is a wrap around deck going all the way around the house. We have exterior deck furniture as well. The views from the deck are wooded views in nature. There is a large raised fire pit with Adirondack chairs and hot tub which is always a popular feature. Note in the winter when the leaves are off the trees you have views of the area mountains and there is some distant road noise. The Stekoa Creek is at the base of property down a steep slope and can be seen in the winter from our deck and backyard through the trees, but cannot be seen in the summer. Also note it is not a swimming creek, but people do fish in it. We have a free standing two vehicle carport for protection from leaves and acorns dropping from the trees. Parking is onsite, safe and secure. We can fit 3 vehicles in our driveway.
