Welcome to Caretta, a custom-built Edisto Beach home completed in 2025 and designed for gathering, slowing down, and enjoying the Lowcountry at its best.
Named for the Caretta caretta, the loggerhead sea turtle that returns to nest along Edisto's shores each year, Caretta is tucked beneath mature live oaks and palmettos in the gated Ocean Ridge community, overlooking the 17th hole of the golf course. The setting feels private and peaceful, yet the beach is only about five minutes away by bike, with the marina, restaurants, golf, and the best of Edisto close at hand.
Caretta sleeps up to 12 guests across four bedrooms and combines the comfort of a private home with thoughtful details throughout. Premium linens and towels are provided, the kitchen is genuinely equipped for cooking, and a four-stop elevator connects every level from the covered parking area to the private top-floor primary suite.
DESIGNED FOR TIME TOGETHER
The main living floor is the heart of the home. A bright, open great room flows into the kitchen, dining area, beverage bar, and surrounding porches, giving everyone room to gather without feeling crowded.
The kitchen was designed for guests who truly enjoy cooking. It features granite countertops, premium stainless-steel appliances, a professional six-burner gas range, an oversized island with seating, and an extensive collection of cookware, knives, bakeware, serving pieces, glassware, and kitchen tools. Whether you are preparing fresh local seafood or a holiday dinner, you should find what you need.
We’ll get you started with regular and decaf drip coffee, along with a selection of Nespresso pods. A traditional drip coffee maker is complemented by a Nespresso machine and hot/cold milk frother, while the nearby beverage bar offers a dedicated wine refrigerator and additional glassware for cocktails and entertaining.
A large Smart TV in the great room can be enjoyed from several parts of the main living area, and every bedroom has its own Smart TV.

Outdoor living is one of Caretta's defining features.
The home offers six porches, each with its own character. The large screened dining porch overlooking the golf course has a dining table that seats 12, plus a separate four-seat high-top that is perfect for breakfast, morning coffee, or a casual drink.
On the guest-bedroom level, the king and queen bedrooms both open directly onto a shared screened porch overlooking the golf course and live oaks. Two suspended hammock loungers make it an especially inviting spot for reading, relaxing in the shade, or simply enjoying the view.
Elsewhere, enjoy a drink on the main living porch or retreat upstairs to one of the two private porches off the primary suite for a quiet morning among the treetops or a peaceful end to the day.
A covered gathering area beneath the home provides another shaded place to relax, with seating and cornhole boards for an easy afternoon game. There is also a dedicated grilling area for outdoor meals, plus a hot and cold outdoor shower that makes rinsing off after the beach or pool simple.
YOUR PRIVATE SALTWATER POOL
The private fenced saltwater pool is designed to be part of the experience, not simply another amenity.
The pool is surrounded by a premium marble deck that stays remarkably cool underfoot and provides a naturally slip-resistant surface. Four chaise lounges, a large modular daybed, umbrellas, and a poolside high-top table create plenty of places to spend the day.
Swim in the morning, cool off after the beach, read beneath an umbrella, or simply settle in for the afternoon while the live oaks and palmettos frame the view.

The second floor includes three guest bedrooms. One spacious suite has two queen beds, a private ensuite bathroom with double vanity, a walk-in closet, and access to the street-facing porch. A king guest room and queen guest room share a second full bathroom and both open directly onto the screened porch with the hammock loungers.
The entire top floor is dedicated to the primary suite. It includes a king poster bed, private sitting room with a twin daybed and pull-out twin trundle, a walk-in closet, Smart TV, and two private porches.
The spa-inspired primary bathroom features a freestanding soaking tub, oversized walk-in shower, double vanity, separate water closet, and premium towels and bath amenities.

The primary suite sitting room also includes a dedicated workspace with a large monitor, keyboard, mouse, universal docking station, desk chair, and gigabit Wi-Fi.

Ocean Ridge is a gated community with golf, tennis, and pickleball within the community, giving you plenty of ways to spend a morning or afternoon when you are not at the beach or pool.
