The space:
The original river-stone hearth features a gas fireplace at the heart of the living room, where comfortable seating offers views of magnificent old-growth cedar trees. A game table with entertainment for all ages beckons, near the door to the wide covered porch with its handcrafted loveseat swing. You can hear the Salmon River from here, just a stone's throw away, while a creek runs through the 2.5 acre property, which backs up to National Forest land.
Take a walk down the quiet, single-family neighborhood street and enjoy the stately trees with their ornaments of emerald-green moss. Less than a mile away is the Three Nines golf course, and if you continue on another mile to Highway 26, you can head to one of many nearby hiking trails east and west, or follow the mountain up to historic Timberline Lodge, less than 15 miles away.
Built in 1931 by a prominent Portlander for his children and grandchildren to get away from the hustle of the city, the Cedar Camp cabin was enjoyed by three generations before being sold due to family illness. The cabin spent the next 50 years in the ownership of one other family, until it came up for sale in 2021. The granddaughter of the original owner purchased the property back and spent the next two years painstakingly renovating, remodeling and modernizing to achieve the combination of legacy and upgrades you can experience today. Throughout the space are vintage and heirloom details, drawing you into the halcyon days of Oregon’s outdoors.
Cedar Camp features:
Upstairs: master bedroom with skylight, media room with WiFi, TV and DVD/Bluray player (you can connect your own gaming console), large table and floor space for working puzzles or playing games. A ¾ bath completes the suite, and a door at the top of the stairs can be closed for additional separation from the first floor, providing distinct spaces for families to enjoy diverse activities.
