Sylvan Lea is located within the Pine Ridge community of private homes minutes from the Tuckasegee River . The cabin is tucked away at the end of an easy access gently sloping road (no 4WD needed), has a private fenced gate entrance, and adjoins 100 acres of beautiful woodlands.
Guests are allowed to use all amenities on this property. Enjoy the fireplace/fire pit, large porch with standing grill, private backyard, hammock, daybed swing on large front porch, and more! The entire cabin is available for your use with the exception of the locked owner's closets and locked housekeeping closet.

DIRECTIONS TO SYLVAN LEA CABIN:
From E Main St (NC-107 S) Sylva toward Western Carolina University/Cullowhee/Southwestern Community College:
• Turn RIGHT onto Webster Rd (NC-116) toward Webster/Southwestern Community College. (0.5 mi.)
• Take the 2nd exit from roundabout onto Webster Rd (NC-116). (1.5 mi)
• Cross over the small bridge over the river.
• Take a LEFT onto Old Settlement Rd. (0.9 mi). It will curve to the right.
• Slow down. Desoto trail will be coming up. (I have accidentally passed it several times because I went right past it!)
• Turn RIGHT onto Desoto Trail (0.5 mi)
Once on Desoto Trail:
You'll see when you arrive it's a beautiful, short 2 minute drive. Follow the easy road access to the cabin: Once on Desoto Trail you will come across a "Y" in the road ahead of you and there will be a sign that says "Children's Hope Center". Do not enter this road. Instead follow the curve in the road to the right. When you do, you will see a sign on the left "Pine Ridge" to know you are on the correct road. This road gently slopes the entire way up to the cabin. No 4WD is needed. Most of the road is paved until you reach the end of the road and enter the property through the wood fence gates. The road then becomes gravel which then turns to two concrete driveways. There are enough parking spaces for 3 cars. You are now a pro at driving to the cabin!
