This charming 1 1/2 story log cabin is located about 5 minutes outside of Sparta, NC, in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. While you are only minutes from town and all its conveniences, you will feel a million miles away in the secluded wooded area where the cabin is located.
The first floor contains the main living area of the home, the kitchen and adjoining dining area, one bedroom with queen bed, and full bathroom which includes the washer and dryer. The kitchen has a gas range with a regular oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a coffeemaker. Of course, we also are well stocked with all of the dishes, silverware, and pots and pans you will need for your stay.
There is a gas-log fireplace in the living room to warm you on those cool mountain nights.
The second floor has a loft with a futon, a 2nd bedroom with a king bed (with two Twin XLs--one side luxury memory foam and other side comfy pillow-top), and a full bathroom with a whirlpool tub big enough for two and a separate shower.
There are televisions in both the living room and in the upstairs loft.

The 10x30 covered porch overlooking the Little River includes a swing and several rocking chairs so you can sit back and soak in the sights and sounds of life in the mountains overlooking the Little River.
The 10x28 partially covered deck at the entrance to the cabin invites you to light up the grill and sit outside at the picnic table for a relaxing meal.
Stretch out on the couch on a rainy afternoon and just try to stay awake listening to the gentle sounds of rain hitting the tin roof.
Because the cabin is on the Little River, a beautiful stocked trout stream, located about 300 feet down a hill, guests are welcome to try their luck trout fishing in the Little River. It is hard to beat some fresh blackened trout cooked on the grill! Don't forget to bring your fishing license and gear. There is a covered area with a picnic table down at river for picnics if you would like to eat right beside the river. While the water is not more than 2-3 feet deep in most places, it is pretty swift. Please don't allow younger children to go down to the river unattended by an adult.
If you can drag yourself away from the tranquility of the cabin, there are numerous activities to enjoy within a short driving distance. Enjoy shopping or eating out in the quaint little town of Sparta, a short 5-minute drive away. You may want to enjoy one of the dozen or so wineries in the area, hiking at Stone Mountain State Park, driving or hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway or canoeing or tubing on the New River, the second oldest river in the world!
