Located just a few minutes from downtown Sparta and 5 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway this adorable home is the perfect peaceful getaway while still being centrally located. Sit on the back deck and enjoy the one acre, fenced in backyard which features a wooded section in the back, a beautiful antique red barn, apple trees, and a small stream with fresh spring water. The front porch has a lovely view as well. Lots of flowers blooming in the summer and fall.
The house has been fully updated and guests have access to all appliances and kitchen items including washer/dryer. Main bedroom with a king size bed is downstairs as well as the large bathroom. The second bedroom and desk area are located upstairs. Sheets, towels, toiletries, basic pantry items and some snacks provided. Books, movies, games, yoga mats and dumbbells available. We have a variety of wines from local wineries available if you would like to purchase a bottle during your stay. Pets are welcome with a pet fee but we ask that they not be on the furniture and are supervised while in the fenced yard. The pet fee is for up to two pets, if you have more than two please reach out to us before booking. Dog beds/food & water bowls provided with advanced notice of pets. The driveway has parking space for two vehicles, with sidewalk leading to the house. No stairs to climb unless you are using the upstairs bedroom.
Located in a beautiful scenic area that has a remote feel while being minutes from downtown. Plenty of restaurants and shops downtown as well as a grocery store and brewery. Sparta is a beautiful mountain town that has lots of events throughout the year. Crouse Park downtown has a great walking trail, playground, pickle ball, splash pad and picnic area. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mountains to Sea trail, Stone Mountain State Park, New River State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park (Mt. Rodgers), and several wineries. In the fall there is a corn maze nearby and lots of choose and cut Christmas tree farms! 30-40 minutes from West Jefferson, Elkin and Galax, VA.
