Tastefully restored modern interior with custom designed cabinetry and handcrafted artisan furniture made by nationally renowned woodworker owner. Enjoy lush forest views from every room and feel the tranquility of nature's surroundings. Soak up the peaceful views and breathe in some fresh air from the hammocks on the wide wrap around porch. Or if the mood strikes you, roll out your yoga mats for a blissful practice up in the trees.

The cabin was built in 1984 by Harold who is a legend on this mountain. He was known as something of a “MacGyver" and even built an elevator for the cabin (although not available for guests). It's recently been renovated in incredible detail and thoughtfulness. The current owners have recently made this unique gem available for guest use.
You will have a gate code to get into the neighborhood and then have our property all to yourself! Nearby the cabin are some great mountain towns to visit such as Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Cherokee, and Cataloochee.
Plenty of parking is available at the cabin, and you can easily drive to the many great hiking trails and attractions that Western North Carolina has to offer.
- There's no AC, but you don’t need it even in the summer as temperatures don’t get above mid 70’s during the day at this altitude.
- Individually controlled clean baseboard heat in each room
- We are working on finding reliable wifi for the property but for now it's a great chance to unplug from it all. That said, most carriers have reliable cell service here so hot spots work well.
- TVs (bedroom and living room) are Smart TVs with all the apps already loaded, but you will need to bring your phone as a hot spot.
- 8 guests max
*Please note: You will need a 4WD vehicle to drive up the mountain in the winter.
