Welcome our newest family member, A Serenity Cabin, March 2023.
“A Serenity Cabin” is located just 20-25 minutes to Jefferson and West Jefferson. Our pet friendly 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom tiny home cabin has approximately 390 square feet on a 1 acre lot. Plus, a good size portion of the yard is fenced in so your dog will be happy running around and you’ll have the piece of mind that the entire yard is fenced in for their safety.
Enjoy an open living area with lots of natural light, cozy electric fireplace, well-appointed kitchen (NO dishwasher), spacious bedroom with a queen bed and Roku TV, and a full bathroom with a step-in shower that connects to the bedroom. There is a stacked washer/dryer for your convenience as well. ALL linens are provided.
The kitchen offers a combo regular coffee maker and a K-Cup, so you get the best of both worlds. The kitchen area is stocked with a microwave, refrigerator, and most items needed to make a great meal. Unfortunately, there is not a dishwasher.
The living room has a futon couch, Roku TV and an electric fireplace for the fall/winter. Not to worry about the summer as there is central Air Conditioning! We also offer high speed WIFI. There is a tiny sleeping loft with a futon mattress, which is perfect for a child. There are many books to read and a few board games.
Step out onto our covered screened-in porch and relax and take in the fresh High Country air! Step out of the screened in porch into our fenced yard. Well behaved dogs (no cats) are welcomed for a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog plus tax. We offer doggie bags to pick up after your dog’s waste to dispose of properly. Pets must be approved by management.
Enjoy spending time around our wood burning fire pit or taking a nap in our hammock.
The town of West Jefferson is less than a 25 minute drive from our cabin. Zaloo’s Kayak and Fly Shop is less than 15 minutes away. Enjoy hiking and fishing at the New River State Park Wagoner Access just 15 minutes away. Enjoy a great meal at Copper Mine Grill located just 1 mile from our cabin, serving great burgers, seafood, sandwiches, chicken tenders, dinner plates AND more!
Another great mountain park is Doughton Park, located just 25 minutes away, offers hiking trails, Bluff Restaurant, picnic area, Doughton Park Visitor Center and Park Store and historic Brinegar Cabin. Doughton Park Visitor Center is located at milepost 241.1 off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The park has more than 30 miles of hiking trails that meander through the park’s pastures and along its streams. Hikers may encounter 25 stream crossings through ankle to knee-deep water.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
