What We Love
A spectacular mountain setting awaits at this cabin in Clyde, a special hilltop retreat with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley. The grounds here are truly something special, from the deck that wraps around the house to the expansive yard lined with mature trees. This is a place to sip your morning coffee in rocking chairs, barbecue and dine outside in the summer sun, and spend each evening stargazing in the private hot tub.
This 1930s cabin enjoys a wonderful location for outdoor recreation - a few minutes' stroll from the Pigeon River and a quick drive from Lake Junaluska (eight miles) and downtown Waynesville (11 miles). So much is at your fingertips, including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area, Asheville, and great options for hiking, tubing, rafting, and fishing.
After a day full of adventure, come home to indulge in an afternoon nap in the hammock, admire the view from the swing in the gazebo, and tell stories around the gas grill, the stone barbecue, and the firepit in the yard. Inside, the cabin is perfectly rustic, with natural wood adorning almost every surface to enhance the mountain atmosphere. It's the perfect place to spend a cozy night indoors - watching movies (on streaming or DVD) by the woodstove, playing Wii with your loved ones, and gathering for card games at the dining room table.
In addition to the bedroom and living room on the main floor, there's a cozy loft upstairs where you can sleep beneath the rafters. A washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi are provided as well.
