Nestled on a short quiet road with only two other (part-time occupied) homes, guests of Mountain Melody generally share their peaceful environment with only the other guests in which they traveled and the wildlife that live within the thick trees and hillsides that surround this home.
The kitchen / dining and living room area is open concept allowing an entire guest group to be "together". A large flat screen TV and gas log fireplace are focal points in the living room which provides "curl up and get comfy" seating for all. A number of board games as well as a basement equipped with a ping-pong table AND air hockey provide even more opportunity for guest groups to enjoy each other's company...together!
No short cuts were taken in getting the bedrooms guest ready. The beds are quite comfortable from the mattresses to the linens. Each bedroom also offers plenty of space for guests to put their personal items out of the way of moving flow. The two bathrooms are large and accommodating.
Since the owners enjoy visiting Mountain Melody themselves as much as they enjoy sharing this home with vacationing guests, they have equipped the kitchen with just about anything you could possibly need for your own unique meal plans. This kitchen also offers as auto drip coffee makes as well as a Keurig machine :-)
The large covered front deck has lots of seating! Seating to enjoy alone with a good book, next to someone for a quiet conversation or around a table for a board game. Just off the deck is a hammock for that single guest looking for a quick nap outdoors.
If looking for a bit more action, downtown Burnsville is just 15 minutes away offering grocery stores and pharmacies, restaurants, a brewery, specialty shopping, entertainment and sooo much more! The summer months offer festivals, outdoor entertainment, a twice weekly outdoor farmers market (Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons) and amazing weather! In just about an hours drive, the winter months offer 4 ski resorts, each offering snow sports to please everyone in your guest party (skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice skating, etc).
